What's new!
I'm currently rehearsing "Raven's Stars: A New Musical" with the East Tennessee Music Company and we will open our week long workshop run on March 9th, 2023 at the Edge Theatre in Chicago. Find tickets here!
This past fall, I completed my training in Meisner pedagogy with Green Shirt Studios and deeply enjoyed being back in a classroom.
On the other side of the stage, Theatre EVOLVE open and closed our third show, "Krugozor!" to rave reviews and audiences.
This was my first show in a producing role and I am so proud of the whole team. Experiencing this show's life from first script to strike was a deeply moving experience.
We also launched our new "Hot Mic Night" series, featuring performers of all kinds doing, honestly, weird stuff. The next performance will be in spring 2023 with the theme "It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want To".
About
Born and raised in Steamboat Springs, CO, Mary Eliza started performing at a young age with a bucket of dress up clothes and the family piano. She continued performing throughout her life, attended the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts Camp for three summers, and graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BFA in Theatre Performance. Mary performed both academically and professionally in the Denver/Boulder area before moving out to Chicago, IL, where she is currently living. She's been featured with Oak Park Festival Theatre, The Black Ensemble Theatre, Babes with Blades Theatre Company, and Theatre EVOLVE, among others.
Mary especially enjoys Shakespeare, new play development and finding ways to increase access to the arts as a producer. She reads avidly, and spends any weekend off gardening, camping, hiking and taking road trips back to sweet home Colorado.
